Model equations

The wave height is modelled by the equation:

η=H2cos(kxωt+ϕ)+kH243σ24σ3cos(2(kxωt+ϕ)) \eta = \frac{H}{2} \cos (k x -\omega t + \phi) + k \frac{H^2}{4} \frac{3 - \sigma^2}{4 \sigma^3} \cos \left(2(k x - \omega t + \phi)\right)

Where:

HH : wave height

kk : wave number

ω\omega : angular frequency

σ\sigma : radian wave frequency

ϕ\phi : phase shift

tt : time
